dear summer

dear summer,
please don't go. please, oh pretty please don't go. as much as i adore the arrival of new england autumn - i cannot bring myself to say farewell to days like today.

mornings at the beach with my little guy. ice cream in the middle of the afternoon. running around at the farm. sweet fresh corn for dinner. dear dear summer you are so lovely...and we will miss you dearly!

we had a great time during our 2nd annual labor day weekend camping adventure with the russells. a perfect way to spend the last official weekend of summer!

summer reconnaissance trip

our original plans for the day fell through - so we thought we'd take a reconnaissance road trip down to duxbury to check-out the beach. we've got a drive-on pass to this beach for the summer - and looking forward to many summer days in the sun at this beautiful spot! today - was a wee chilly to say the least - but warms our heart to think of the fun to come in the months to come.

 

 

now off for more summer reconnaissance - making our own ice cream!  we got an ice cream maker for wes for his birthday - how fun!

a morning at the museum

met up with justin, maggie and calvin for an outing to the providence children's museum.  a great morning (even bumped into the budka and mcfadden families too)!
