hoot, hoot poo

maybe it's because we are in potty training mode - and surrounded by all things poo. or maybe it's because my family can't seem to put empty toilet paper rolls in the garbage...so i find them on the ground all the time.  or maybe it's because we needed a fun project to pass the time.  meet our owl friends, mr. & mrs. hoot hoot poo.

apple picking 1st for a texan

we are fruit pickers. every season. every fruit. multiple times a season. so it was a true honor for us to share apple picking with a texan who's never been before!  the kids were more than thrilled to show their nanny how to get it done...and a little bit of how to throw the apples too.  this is what happens when you have the apple orchard all to yourself on a rainy foggy fall day. not exactly ideal conditions - but an absolutely special memory.

nanny visits

a sweet visit from wes' mom and the kids' texas grandmother. a time to share all their special tricks, put on a few performances and get to know each other. 

candy corn love

the one bag of candy corn i bought to help encourage little b to use the potty, lead to all sorts of candy corn love last week.  i just wish it inspired more potty success! maybe he'll be subtly wooed (brainwashed) by all the cute & yummy candy corn elements in our home. likely not - but we are having some fun with it along the way!
