gone fishin'

kids and i made some bamboo fishing poles this afternoon, and i'm so glad we did! even if we didn't catch a thing - we enjoyed an absolutely gorgeous evening over at the lake.

maybe the fish were scared away by our bennett's splashing?  wes on the other hand never had any confidence in my paperclip hook.  oh well - at least the squirrels got to enjoy our bread bait!
