thankful tuesday, 2/8

posting today's thankful tuesday blog from the acela on my way to nyc.  of course always sad to be away from home - but the bliss of uninterrupted quiet time on the train can be quite a delight.

gifts this week

• this quiet time on the train
• walking home late at night in the snow - love the sound of just my boots crunching down the road in the silence of night
• letter from my dad
• visiting with a neighbor and losing track of time
• meeting a sweet new baby
• seeing friends who i haven't seen in some time
• sturdy roof on our old house - and wes' diligence in removing snow
• principal over preference - this message is all around me this week
• boston's south end and some ninja parking success 
• ella's conquering of the paralyzing shy jitters & tears so she could enjoy her bff's b-day fun 
• teaching her that a little prayer (& bouncing on a trampoline) always help
• feeling the crabbies coming on before it takes over and taking a prayer time out
